I'm only using about half of my 250GB hard disk right now, and that
space is divided into 16 partitions. (This was true before I installed

eCS, but is not noticed by Ubuntu. There's no listing in /dev/ for it.
What might I do to force its recognition?
Nothing, because only 15 subdevices are supported. See the file devices.txt in the <kernel source>/Documentation directory.
