Re: Hard hang of dell precision M20 on Audigy ZS Notebook insertion

I have the folowing problem:
upon the insertion of the Creative Audigy ZS Notebook audio card into
Dell Precision M20
I get a hard hang. Can't switch to a text terminal, mouse cursor does
not move in X11.
No messages related to that in /var/log/messages

this is on 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 kernel
any suggestions?
If the card is inserted before the system is booted the system hangs at
"getting hostname"
at system startup.

The card works fine in windows on M20 (but drivers don't install on
another machineby winbook)

That kernel has known problems with hanging.
Apply your updates, including kernel updates.
