Dual-boot install on PC with XP recovery partition

I have a PC with a XP recovery partition as the first partition on the hard
drive. When booting the XP boot loader offers the option of booting into XP
or recovery mode.

If I install Linux will GRUB recognise the the recovery partition and list
all the boot options (i.e. Linux, XP, XP recovery) or will it do
something "nasty" to the existing XP recovery partition?

Thanks.
