What's this connection?

I have gkrellm on my desktop and I saw sudden network activity, and I ran
a
1) root:~> netstat -tupan
and I saw this:
udp 0 0 192.168.1.10:46154 151.196.0.38:53 ESTABLISHED 7050/spamd child
2) root:~> host 151.196.0.38
38.0.196.151.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer nsbalt.bellatlantic.net.
I'm behind a verizon fios router. Does anybody know what this is? What
spamd child? Did I initiate the connection to their port 53? Why? I'm on a
private network. If the router did it, why did I see the traffic? It's
clearly from my computer, behind the router and the remote host. And I
have a firewall on the router AND on my pc. How did that go through?
Are they trying to do something funny here?
