Before the SuSE crowd starts screaming, note that SuSE really is a good
distribution, but like all of the others, it has it's warts.
I agree completely; it's not my intent to mindlessly bash SuSE, and I had
generally excellent results with it all these years. Well, until 10.1 Pro
but that's another story, and this isn't the place for it. :)
(FWIW IMO 10.1 bugs are Novell PHB bungling--they've nearly wrecked SuSE)
SBC (an umbrella Baby Bell that now includes AT&T, Southwest and Pacific
Bell, SNET, Ameritech, and others) really doesn't have the greatest
reputation in the news.admin.net-abuse.blocklisting newsgroup.
....apparently engulfing BellSouth in the very near future. My parents are
on BellSouth, and while getting DSL installed over the summer, had a chat
with the BellSouth DSL tech about it. The tech said of ATT plans "You can
kiss service goodbye" and from my ATT (nee SBC) experience here in DFW it
could be taken as gospel.
Hey, is that your letter to the editor on page 12 of the November LJ?
Oh yeah, that's old Weird. Warhol's 15 minutes of fame, and he picks bash
scripting. :)
Right on!!!
Kids these days; it's all Ajax this, and Ruby that... :)
