Because I don't know that a USB interface will work with OS/2 and the
software available for it. I'm sure the OS will recognize it, but I
don't think the monitoring software will see it.

BTW... The Powerware 5110 is really cheap!

Looks like they're about the same price as a comperable APC unit, from
what I just saw on their Web site.
