I would like to upgrade zlib to 1.2.3.
Firstly, I uninstall the zlib and zlib-devel by
rpm -e zlib
rpm -e zlib-devel
However, many dependency errors are reported.
Can I just download the source and then overwrite the old package?
rpm -Uvh zlib zlib-devel
???
Besides, if you do it this way, if it will not work, rpm will tell you so
and not bother anything.
