I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Mozilla (the company)
creates Mozilla (the browser) and Firefox (as well as a bunch of other
stuff). Mozilla (the browser) and Firefox are both browsers, separate
and distinct, not dependent on one another.

If anyone can confirm or deny, please do. Thanks!

Mozilla is the development version; Firefox is the release version.
