Hello,
I need some help to setup the syslog option on a router, and send the
syslog messages to a Linux Server.
You'll have to be a lot more specific than that if you want any help.
You'll need to know the brand and model of router, if you need help setting it up. Even then, you'll probably be better off asking in a newsgroup or forum specific to that brand.
Then all you need to do is start syslogd with the -l option and specifying the hostname of the router in question. You'll need to tell us which Linux distro you're using if you need help finding the right config file to edit. If your distro uses syslog-ng instead of the traditional syslogd, you'll have to let us know.
If you've already configured the router and the log server and things are still not working, show us your relevant configuration information and describe in detail what error messages you're seeing (if any) and what is/isn't happening.
