There are several programs that write DVDs: dvdrecord, growisofs, and
cdrecord-prodvd. If I were you, I'd start with growisofs since it may
work better than dvdrecord and it doesn't have the "license key" crap
that cdrecord-prodvd has. These are all command-line programs that have
metric tons of options, so you may want some sort of GUI frontend. The
best GUI frontend to CD/DVD recording that I know of is k3b. HTH,
Any reason to spread FUD on cdrecord? Try to inform yourself before
missinforming others!
cdrecord supports more drives than growisofs and cdrecord supports features
that are missing in growisofs.
