You could be correct but,
produce mixed results. Sometimes Win XP is quicker, sometimes SuSE
is quicker, but never by more than a second or 2. And more to the
point, findings can not be reproduced.
the linux intall maybe running tmdns or avahi-daemon which puts an extra dns
lookup/timeout causing the delay. :(
