So the search function saves the results as directory full of links
I'm not a command line expert but surely this is (virtually) a "find"
command one liner.
Not quite - but you can achieve similar results.
And Microsoft has just invented it!! Gosh
Nope. Actually Apple did it in OSX. Apple's version hooks into Spotlight
(their desktop search engine...think "beagle") and allows you to create
a "smart folder" based on any number of criteria (such as key words, last
opened/saved/etc date, file type, etc) and then dynamically updates the
smart folder content in real time :)
