When I invoke oobase and select odbc -> browse, I get no data sources.
Of course I haven't set any up. I do have the postmaster running and
pgadmin3 runs and connects fine. How do i connect to a database using
openoffice?
For others' reference, I'll document what I did:
1. Install the unixODBC package. This is an ODBC driver manager.
2. Install the ODBC driver for your particular database. In the
case of postgresql, the driver is psqlODBC. Note that the driver
on the postreq site is the one to use, NOT pgfoundry.
PS: I also found out that when you connect to an ODBC datasource with
oobase and open a table, it is read-only unless the table has a unique
field or primary key.
