Ok - I run a SuSE 10 with KDE on a laptop. I use this Laptop for
Surfing, Email-Reading and listening music with Amarok.
Now when there is a party at my home I would restrict access to
this Laptop so that the only application the user can deal with
is the music-player Amarok.
Users should not be able to launch or use any other piece of
software on the laptop until I "unlock" the computer with my
password. Then the system should be "open" as it was before.
Is there an easy way to apply these restriction to my running
system?
have the user 'party' belong to the group 'party' and no other.
Now fiddle with the permissions. Make Amarok (whatever that is)
executable by the group party.
