Intel 865G chipset and Google Earth

I have a Linux box running Slackware 11 with a 2.6.19.1 kernel. The
motherboard is an Intel D865GSA, with a built-in Intel 865G graphics
chipset. This works fine, in that I get 3-D acceleration and DRI. However,
Google Earth does not work correctly, and the issues that I am observing
seem to do with the graphics chipset. I would be interested to to learn
about other people's experiences with Google Earth and this chipset.
