File Recovery under linux - anyone ?

Hi,

We have an Ext3 disk connected to a ubuntu box where a multi-gigabyte file was overwritten by a file with zero bytes with the same name. Anyone having some good clues to recover the original file in this situation??

Does it exist tools for file recovery / inspection running under Linux ?

I'm used to these challenges under windows, but I have no experience with Linux.

best regards
