But when I go through a serial mux card I have the output shows the
following first before showing the previously mentioned output:

Is there anyway to get rid of status message?
Startup minicom, I usually use -s.
Dropped down to the modem and dialing option and remove the
init string. I usually get rid of the reset string also but
I also use quit (Alt-A q) instead of exit (Alt-A x). I think
you'll need to save the setting as your default or startup
with the correct option to use that config file.
