Hello,
I am contemplating about buying a Promise SATA300-TX4302 (2x internal/
2x external) PCI adapter.
How do I find out if current kernels sdo upport that adapter?
Any feedback is appreciated very much. Thank you!
John
To be honest, based on my experience of the Promise SX4, I'd stay well away
from that product line. You may wish to look at the LSI MegaRAID
controllers - they have very good performance and are supported in Linux.
The company I work for has one parked in a Dell PowerEdge PE1900,
controlling six 250GB HDs in a RAID5 array.
