Re: GPL-like license for images

OK, I've got a question. Is anyone aware of a GPL-like license for
photographs or short articles? The GNU Documentation license doesn't
quite apply.

I've been asked for some photos of various things for reprint in both
electronic and paper forms. While these images don't really have any
commercial value, I still want proper attribution and want to maintain
copyright.

Is there a license I can use?

Unless you sign it away, you already retain copyright. If you live in most
of the world you also have moral rights ( the right to have your name
attributed to the work). In the USA if you sign away your copyright you
sign away everything, including moral rights ( which are not recognized by
US courts)

So, write whatever license you want. If you want something similar to the
GDL, alter it as you wish.
