I've been frequenting various forums and various google searches,What's a PDC, or for that matter, a BDC?
and I've spent nearly 2 weeks off and on, trying to achieve one
thing, I would like to replace my NT PDC for a Linux PDC, I've
been trying ubuntu server for the initial attempt, but alas I've
never achived what I need...
I've tried all kinds of web based admin programs to make my life
easier, but with no avail. I've come across various sites/
tutorials, and tried to even mix and match some of the tutorials
to meet my needs.
I stumbled across a site that tells me I should set up the Linux
box, as a BDC, migrate the users, and switch it to a PDC.
Primary Domain Controller Not sure on the BDC.
BDC = Backup Domain Controller
Both PDC and BDC refer to SMB network server functions.
