Well, you edited out the question that was DEFINITELY relevant
to this Linux group, which was what BIOS setting I should use for
multiprocessing under Linux (if I end up being able to use it at
all), but overall, I agree that this newsgroup was not the best
starting point, since I should first see if I am going to get the
multiprocessing working at all.
Much thanks, particularly for the pointer to 2cpu.com. I visited
that site years ago and could not remember what it was called.
I expect there are enough Linux users there to answer the rest
of my questions anyway.
I do have a slight aversion to that site though. They seem to
be part of the "overclocking community", which is really not my
approach. If anything, I prefer to slightly underclock and run
cool and reliable. . . .
