dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
I just successfully installed Ubuntu on a new amd64 motherboard with a
new geforce 7600GS nvidia graphics card.
The desktop is a light brownish shade and there is a tool bar with
e.g. "Application" etc.
The first thing I want to do is set the display to, at least, 1280 *
1024 (my LCD monitor) or greater (my CRT monitor).
