How can I make a bootable msdos cdrom for running embedded-linux? CanSimple, instruct your "cooking" (CD-burning) application to cook a bootable CD and give it access (when it asks) to a location where MS-DOS (or DR-DOS) bootable diskette files reside.
I start msdos with grub or syslinux cdrom. I have a hp pavillion
zt1170 with no floopy and it does not boot from usb key. I am not up
to pxeboot yet. It did not like freedos. It is very finicky with
msft variants.
Done it in Nero, so I have a booting CD, and can give advice on this subject.
Have fun.
