There used to be a webspot service giving free browser-based linuxfree up about 10 gig on your Windows XP Home and install a linux of
access. They seem to have shut down. Any alternatives?
your choice and boot either XP or linux when you feel like it.
accessible via a browser.
You will get better answers if you precisely define what you want this
"web-based linux access" to do. Do you want something like Webmin,
running on a remote box that you have full access to? Do you want a
remote box that you can access via an ssh client? (Keep in mind that
there are a number of Java-applet ssh clients out there, so you could
ssh from any browser with a working JRE.) What was the name of the
service you were using before?
Bit Twister's suggestion actually makes a lot of sense, because a local
install will be faster and more customizable than a remote install you
don't fully control.
