This is allowed because of extensive patent cross-licensing between
Microsoft and Novell. No other distro would dare to bind functions
to the Holy Windows Key.
The problem is to find a keyboard without that annoying key. The
best bet is the Salvation Army, or similar organizations. Then you
can avoid accidentally hitting it and having the next key divert
the system into something ridiculous.
