that's true, sorry. i just want a 'sandpit'. to do command line stuff
with a minimal amount of user space.

Is there some reason you want to do it in a web browser? Why not just
use VMWare-Player (free download from VMWare.com) and use one of their
freely downloadable linux virtual machines from VMWare?
