I frequently hear about the Mac OS. I don't know what it is.

It is another operating system, almost exclusively used on the Apple
Macintosh family of computers and the rare clone systems. The current
distribution is OSX version 10.4, nicknamed "Tiger". This does not run
on hardware that runs microsoft windoze (Intel based).

I went to wikipedia and tried to know what it might be.
But I want somebody who have themselves experienced Mac OS.

But I don't know why people go for Mac.

I also don't suppose you know why some people buy Mercedes Benz, while
others buy Rolls Royce, Lexus, Accura, Cadillac, or Chrysler - so go find
a dictionary and look up the words "choice" and "opinion".

Please describe me what the advantages of Mac OS might be.

It's runs on the Apple Macintosh - but then, so does Linux.
