Hey Guys,
I am trying to write a simple linux tutorial/reference. It is only
for basic stuff and it probably will not cover advanced topics and it
is still under construction. I was wondering if you guys could give
me any input on it so far.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Someone with little or no expreience in linux
OBJECTIVE
Get them familiarized with the basic linux commands/direct them to
other interesting commands
SITE:http://mahurshi.googlepages.com
Please give me some feedback on the site and I'll see what I can
change.
Thanks in advance.
Introduction to 'man' should come first, including
how to exit it. 'apropos' should be introduced
next.
Basic key bindings, including how to exit and
get help, should be introduced with 'less', esp.
before directing someone new to open
multiple files.
File attributes should be discussed if you are
demonstrating 'ls -l' and 'ls -a'.
HTH,
Tarkin
