These are the files currently in the firefox directory. These were
unpacked from the tar.gz file.
When I type firefox at the command prompt it open firefox, but under
the help menu the version is still version 1.
Did you close all instances of the version 1 Firefox? If
not, it will open a new window from the _old_ process. To
switch Firefox versions, you need to completely close all
browser windows.
