Sure would be nice to have a standardized, and feature-full, file

shouldnt be too hard to create as an add-on. perhaps as an hook to
the filesystem, where it belongs.

Why not just put the code for an open-file dialog box right on the
processor?

While you people are screwing away your time posting nonsense, opportunities
for grabbing desktop share from MS are slipping away. Some of you apparently
don't care whether or not open source wins out in the long run.

Some people dont, some do. You're going to get replies from both and
none of them see any gain in being polite on usenet. Fortunatly the
source code is open and you are free to write code to do whatever you
want.

Here's a REALLY frightening thought: these types of responses lead me
to consider that maybe, just maybe, Microsoft's way is better.

Do what you feel most, we wont stop you. But instead of suggesting
something in a forum, hoping that someone else will pick up the ball and
run with your suggestion, maybe write some code and ask "How could this
be implemented better?"

That's just my approach.

What a bunch of fuckwads.

Of course, every post comes with the obligatory flame.
