yum install gmplayer
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: gmplayer
Nothing to do
Okay, so the mplayer rpm is suppose to include gmplayer.
ls -al /usr/bin/gmplayer
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Mar 15 13:14 /usr/bin/gmplayer -> mplayer
This is just a symbolic link back to the original!
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Just because a symbolic link links to the same program, does not mean
that that is not OK. When a program runs, it checks how it is called
and, in this case mplayer would see that it is called as gmplayer, and
know it is suppose to run in gui mode.
I just downloaded the tar file and recompiled it with:
../configure --enable-gui && make && make install
then you need to install a skin
and gmplayer should work (it did for me)
.
