Is it jumpered properly? Does the BIOS see the device? Does the kernel
you're using support the board's IDE chipset? Which version of which
distro are you using, anyway? What's the board's IDE chipset? AFAICT,
these devices should just work like ordinary IDE disks, provided they're
set up properly and the BIOS can see them.
