site, login to your downloads area, select RHEL4 for your hardware,
select packages, and pick our that you want.
Or you can go to a CentOS (4.4) mirror and get an rpm there. (CentOS
being a proprietary-sanitized version of RHEL).
to get a kernel-2.6.9-smp-42.EL or just a normal kernel-2.6.9-42.EL?

smp if you want to use all 4 cpus. The kernel-2.6.9-42.EL is for single cpu
systems.
