Have you tried deleting these programs from your home directory? You can
still open the program, but it will create new files in your home
directory. Deleting them will get rid of any corruptions that might be
causing the segmentation flaws. They should also be deleted from
root if necessary. These files are invisible so you need to make them
visible with your file manager. To delete root files open your file
manager in root.
