Newsgroup binaries

I've seen several utils for windows making downloading binaries from
usenet a breeze. So far I haven't been able to find a mature equivalent
for Linux.
Any good recommendations, GUI or CLI?(If it's one known to be in
Gentoo's portage list: doubleplusgood)
