Mounting directories in VMware

Is there a way to mount a Linux directory in VMware besides SAMBA? I have
Win2K running under VMware Server on FC6. The original Win4Lin and
Parallels both have a means of mapping Linux directories into Windows as
Windows disks. Does VMware have a similar mechanism? I would prefer not
to run SAMBA on my network.
