Re: I need to make a presentation about linux next week.

My boss asked me to study linux for 2 or 3 days and give my colleagues
an introduction about linux.

As we are all programmers, I think I should focus on some programming
related topics, such as :

1. file system
2. process and thread
3. gdb

Do u have any suggestions ?

Broad outline:

1) Do an install.
2) Program something.

You're items above seem to be some kind of subset
to my number 2.

gdb presupposes you intend to use C.
In 2 or 3 days, I'd be thinking of shell or perl.

Why is threading an issue?

Why does the filesystem matter?

I think you need to do something that would show some
quick results. Maybe find a useful opensource app,
install it and get it running.
