cciss driver for Redhat Enterprise 3

Hi, folks,

I created a RAID 5 logical disk on an HP Proliant DL380 G4 server
(using Smart Array 6i Controller) and tried to install RedHat
Enterprise Linux v3 (the first release, not any of the Update). The
RedHat installation program loaded the cciss driver from the CD but it
can't see any hard disk. The kernel of RHEL3 is 2.4.21-4.EL. Have been
searching high and low from the HP web site but can't find any Smart
Array 6i driver that work with this kernel. The newer drivers can't
support this kernel. They only support RHEL3 Update 4 or above. I
don't have this. Because of our internal computer validation
requirement,s I have to use the base RHEL3 whose kernel is
2.4.21-4.EL. I managed to find cpq_cciss-2.4.50-30.rhel3.i686.rpm on
the hp web site but it didn't really say it support this kernel. It
only said RHEL3.

My first question is that this is an RPM and I need the driver
diskette in order to install it using the RedHat installation CD. How
can I convert this RPM into a driver diskette?

Secondly, what is the version of the cciss driver that works with
kernel 2.4.21-4.EL? Where can I find it?

Thanks
Woody
