Fedora 7 does NOt see Fedora 6 installation!!!

I am trying to upgrade my home Fedora Core 6 machine to Fedora 7. I
insterted my DVD, ran it. After "detecting previous installations" and
selecting language, The install process does NOT offer me an
opportunity to reuse the existing setup. It seems that it does not
notice any existing installations!

The only choices are to reformat everything and some other strange
destructive choices.

I was able to successfully upgrade my laptop before, so something
special is wrong. How can I force Fedora 7 to recognize the old
system. Here's my mounts

$ mount
/dev/hda3 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
none on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw)
/dev/hda1 on /boot type ext3 (rw)

/dev/sde5 on /mnt/work-backup type ext3 (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)
