memory flash -incompatible-?

I can mount my camera, Mp3-USB-Reader and other flash-memory devices,
without any driver or other software... only using mount command.

The only device I can't mount is my -mobile phone- (siemens)...
(/proc/partitions don't show any device...)

Is its memory different like others? (maybe it's not flash memory...)

There's a logical explanation, or it's only a political choice?

Thanks for elucidations.
