screen as a QNX ditto replacement for remote control

screen as a QNX ditto replacement for remote control

Is it possible with the screen utility to do the following:
(I have read the man pages, but find them very confusing)

1) when I log in, after boot up, into console 1 directly on the Linux
box or remotely via putty to see the same?
In the moment I have setup a Linux account to run instead of /bin/
bash /usr/bin/screen. When I log in with this account on the Linux
box, it runs screen. Great! Then I connect via putty and I see the
same. That is what I want. But when I reverse the order it is not the
same. When I login via putty first, it does not change what I see on
console 1 on the Linux box. I need to be able to start a shared
console remotely. Is that possible with screen.

2) when I run my application in my "screen account" on console 1, my
application will switch consoles to console 5 and 6 and later back to
console 1. Is it possible with screen to follow these console
switches? The QNX ditto utility can do that.

Why I need this:
In the moment we are porting our sw from QNX to Linux. Our current QNX
ui runs on several consoles and switches back and forth between them.
It is no problem to do the same in Linux, but our problem is that it
all has to be controlled remotely. On the QNX system we have setup a
user account (ditto account) which starts up the ditto utility, it is
able to follow everything what is done , including switching consoles
(follow "active" console feature).
The QNX server just got booted and we log in remotely with the "ditto
account" we will get the login prompt of console 1. Now we log in with
another user account, which will startup automatically our ui.

Any help or ideas are appreciated!
