Changing default audio playback in KDE

I am running Debian testing with latest KDE

I have a set of USB Headphones which work fine in some applications
like TOTEM movie player and Skype but other applications like
Realplayer dont seem to recognise them

HOw can I change the default system wide audio preferences to use
these headphones rather than the built in computer speakers which it
currently uses ?

.
