Hi All,
If I
1) mount a bootable ISO file
mount -t iso9660 -o loop x.iso /mnt/myiso.ios
2) copy the file to a directory
cp -Rip /mnt/myiso.ios /tmp/MyIso/.
3) change some files in the directory (/tmp/MyIso)
4) send the modified directory to cdrecord
cdrecord -v /mnt/myiso.ios
Will I loose the boot portion of the ISO?
The bell just went off in my head as to what is
going on. My problem is that I can not find the boot image
on the particular ISO I want to manipulate (Kaspersky's
Rescue CD). Since it is a BartPE based disk, I posted over
on the rescue cd forum asking where the boot image resides:

Thank you for help clearing the fog. I bet I will now
understand everything when I (re)read "man mkisofs". :-)
