Hello,
I have 2 computers (X and Y). they are both Dell Optiplex GX520's. I
have setup computer X with Windows, Updates and some programs that we
use. I would like to use a knoppix CD to copy the drive from X to Y
over an Ethernet connection. what is the best way to do this? I
thought about using DD but don't I have to boot the other PC with PXE
or something? Any help is appreciated.
Knoppix 5.1.1 includes Samba. If you can get a basic network connection going and then get Samba communicating over the link, you can transfer the data.
