Acer AL2223W - 1680x1050 problems

Hello.

Just bought the subject monitor and am having problems getting it to work
properly at 1680x1050 on a fedora 7/KDE installation with a Nvidia
Geforce4 MX4000 videocard. nv driver.

I have modified the xorg.conf as suggested by others and can now see a
1680x1050 option but when I change to this the picture is squashed to the
left, covering about 2/3 of the screen. It works fine at 1440x900.

Any suggestions on getting 1680x1050 working are welcomed.
