Hi,
Following this link (http://www.ioncannon.net/system-administration/99/
upgrade-fc5-to-fc6-with-yum/) I'm trying to upgrade to Fedora Core 6.
When I got errors, I tried typing, "upgrade" instead of "update". But
sadly, I still get the following errors. I thought yum was supposed
to take care of dependencies? You're help is appreciated.
--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.
--> Running transaction check
Error: Missing Dependency: libgnomecanvaspixbuf.so.1 is needed by
package gtkhtml
Look at this part of the instructions:
# Run the yum update: yum -y update. At this point I had to remove a
# few packages to get past dependency issues they weren't important
# and I just added them back after the update.
What you are attempting is not the way most people go and it probably
not tested by the Fedora developers.
I've done that kind of thing successfully with Mandriva and I've
messed up a few systems with it too.
Good luck.
