Re: Which linux distro is the stables/strongest for SERVERS

I need to set up several servers, some for my home business, and some
for my work. I do not need very many features like the latest
Bluetooth gizmos. I just want a system that does not crash a lot,
upgrades cleanly, has long term support, and uses system resources
nicely. After recent disappointments with Fedora 8, I am looking
elsewhere. I
kind of liked Ubuntu and am wondering if anyone tried Debian or Ubuntu
servers. Have you found a rock solid, easy to upgrade linux server
distro?
Well, if money is going to depend on how the thing runs.
I'd recommend you spend some money and buy RHEL 4/5 from RedHat.
They are definitely there for 'business', they notify you of
security updates, the up2date system and the RedHat Network save
you a lot of time. You even get real tech support.
If your time is 'money', this is probably the cheapest way
to go.
