Do Synaptic, Aptitude and Adept use secure-apt?

I'm thinking about moving either to Debian or Kubuntu. Does anyone know if Synaptic, Aptitude and Adept use secure-apt? Is there an apt-get and a secure apt, or are all versions of apt now secure?
