Re: Vista to Unix

The support for Wifi in my Ubuntu 7.10 is stellar. Everything "just
works". Support for hibernation or suspending, however, is very
shoddy. Based on what I know, the upcoming release of Ubuntu 8.04,
will fix hibernation issues. This is mostly a kernel issue, and Ubuntu
8.04 comes with a kernel that supports it much better.

I cannot see myself using Windows, personally. However, in your
position I would simply wait until Ubuntu Hardy Heron comes on in
spring.
