Well, some people do fall for the old trick of "we present both sides" as
being 'balanced' and then claiming bias when the side that is lying
through their teeth gets called on it.
Anyone who thinks Fox is balanced and CNN left-wing has likely never seen
reporting that is actually unbiased, (or decently competent for that
matter, I mean treating wanting orange juice rather than coffee as an
issue?!?).
If you read the foreign press (easy to do in the internet era), you'll
find that ideas and issues that make Barack Obama look like Barry
Goldwater are considered mainstream or even conservative elsewhere.
